Why are we combining the apps?
At Musora, we believe musicians belong together.
In 2022, we combined access to all of our instrument-learning platforms for the price of one instrument under the name Musora. Since 2022, our dedicated team of mobile developers has maintained three separate mobile apps for Drumeo, Pianote, and Musora.
These app versions have been identical for the past year, with different brand names on the front. They all contain the same features and content, but maintaining them takes extra time and effort. This is time better spent refining your experience and creating new features to help you reach your musical goals.
At the end of May 2024, we will combine our existing apps into one unified mobile app under the name "Musora: The Music Lessons App." We will also remove public visibility of the Pianote and Musora apps from the Google Play and Apple App Stores.
If you have already downloaded the Pianote or Musora app, you can still access it. If you are currently subscribed to any of the apps through the app stores, your billing and account access will not be affected.
What changes for you as a student when this goes live?
If you are a Drumeo app user, the Drumeo logo and app name will change from a blue Drumeo logo and the Drumeo name to the black Musora logo and the Musora name.

If you use the Pianote or old Musora apps, you will receive a link to download the new app when the update is released. That’s it.
Drumeo, Pianote, Guitareo, and Singeo are still here, operating just as they have before. The only change you'll notice is that instead of multiple app versions, there will now be a single app listing under "Musora: The Music Lessons App."
By unifying our app listings, we're paving the way for exciting future features. This change reflects our commitment to bringing musicians together and enabling collaborations across instruments.

When are the app changes happening?
As of May 28th, 2024, the unified Musora app is available to download. Click the app store link for your mobile device below to install the app.
What is happening with the old apps?
After the unified app is launched, the Pianote and old Musora apps will be unlisted on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and will no longer be available for new users to download or purchase.
Can I continue using the old apps?
Benefits of using the unified Musora app:

The overall design of the new app will remain the same. Any future changes will be communicated to you through email and in-app notifications.
Can I still access the same features and resources in the new app?
Absolutely! The new app will retain all the essential features and resources you're familiar with from the old apps.
How will I receive updates and notifications about the new app?
You will continue to receive updates and notifications through your current app, as well as email. We'll keep you informed about any new features, enhancements, or important updates related to the app.

What happens to my account information?
All your account information, including profile details, preferences, and lesson history, will be accessible in the unified app. You won't need to recreate your account or re-enter any data. Your login credentials will remain the same for uninterrupted access to your account.
Can I continue using my existing login credentials for the Musora app?
Yes, you can continue using your existing login credentials (username and password) for the unified app without creating a new account.
Will my saved lesson progress in the old apps transfer to the Musora app?
Yes, all your progress will transfer over to the new app. So whether you're halfway through a lesson or about to finish a new song, you can pick up right where you left off without interruption.
Can I still access my account from multiple devices with the Musora app?
Yes, you can continue to access your account from multiple devices with the new app. Simply log in using your existing credentials on each device to sync your data and preferences.
Will there be any changes to the pricing or subscription model?
There are no changes to the pricing or subscription model for the new app. No surprises here – just more of the good stuff to keep you rockin’ and rolling!
Will I need to re-enter any payment information for in-app purchases or subscriptions?
No, you will not need to re-enter any payment information for in-app purchases or subscriptions. Your existing payment information will continue to process your subscription without disruption – easy peasy!
I have a Pianote or Musora app subscription. Will I need to unsubscribe from my membership on my old app to access the new app?
No, you do not need to unsubscribe or delete your membership on the old apps in order to access the unified app. Your membership will seamlessly carry over, allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted access without any additional steps required on your part. Simply download the new app, sign in using your existing credentials, and dive right back into your musical journey. If you encounter any difficulties, our friendly customer support team is always here to help.
Will there be any changes to the app’s privacy policy or terms of service?
There are no changes to our privacy policy or terms of service. Any updates will be communicated to you in advance. Rest assured, we are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the highest standards of data security.
Technical Questions
How do I download the Musora app?
When the unified Musora app has been released, Drumeo app users simply need to update their app through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
Pianote and old Musora app users will receive an announcement update via email and through their current apps. This will take you to the app store, where you can easily download the unified Musora app, sign in with your current login info, and continue using the app normally.
Will there be any downtime during the transition period?
We strive to minimize any disruptions during the transition period. However, there may be brief periods of downtime as we finalize the migration process. Rest assured, we will notify you in advance of any scheduled maintenance or downtime.
Do I need to re-download any content or resources after switching to the Musora app?
Unfortunately, if you have downloaded content on the old Pianote or Musora apps, that data is not transferable. However, former Drumeo app users will still have access to their downloaded content after the transition.
Will the unified Musora app be available on all mobile devices and operating systems?
Yes, the app will be available for download on iOS and Android devices, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of smartphones and tablets.
What if my mobile device is older, and I cannot use the updated app?
Other options for accessing our platforms are available, either through our mobile website or on a desktop computer. However, please note that the mobile web experience may differ from our app and desktop interfaces.
